The project consisted of the construction or reconstruction of numerous facilities related to the diversion of water from the Agency’s Snow Creek surface water source.\u00a0 Facilities constructed included a replacement reinforced concrete surface water diversion, new headworks (including intake screen, water treatment, and disinfection facilities), a 1.0 MG welded steel water storage reservoir, 11,000\u00b1 L.F. of 20″ diameter aboveground and belowground penstock running from the storage reservoir to a 350 kW hydroelectric generating station, the hydroelectric generating station, and 38,600\u00b1 L.F. of 24″ transmission pipeline running from the generating station to the Agency’s service area in the City of Palm Springs.<\/p>\n
