Description:
The Hemet/San Jacinto Integrated Recharge and Recovery Program Phase I Well Pumping Facilities consisted of design and construction of three deep well vertical turbine pumping facilities for Wells 90, 91, and 92 with production ranges from 1,500 gpm to 2,000 gpm. Design included provisions to add future replacement well, lateral recharge pipelines (Wells 91 and 92), and future monitoring well (Well 91) on listed well sites. The project facilities for each site included electrical equipment building, deep well vertical turbine well pump, electrical automatic valves, flow and conductivity metering, 75 pound per day chlorine generation and dosing facilities (ClorTec), fluorosilicic acid (fluoride) storage and dosing facilities, HVAC equipment and well level and discharge pressure monitoring, site grading and fencing, associated well discharge and blowoff pipelines, and all associated electrical and control facilities. The project involved working closely with and as an extension to District staff.
Services Provided:
Krieger & Stewart provided planning, environmental, preliminary design, final design, bidding, and construction engineering services (including equipment and electrical inspection and startup services). Krieger & Stewart provided all of the civil, structural, mechanical, architectural, electrical, and instrumentation design.
