Description:
The Leon Road Recycled Water Booster Station was designed to pump 7,500 gpm of recycled water from the Temecula Valley Regional Water Reclamation Facility to the District’s 1627 Pressure Zone using three VFD controlled vertical turbine pumping units (two duty, one standby) with 350 hp motors. Project facilities included: VFD controlled vertical turbine booster pump station; two room masonry block building to house the electrical and pump equipment with separate air conditioned electrical room; suction and discharge surge tanks, compressor, and appurtenances; electrical service; SCADA (remote telemetry unit); electrical switchgear; site grading; site piping; and masonry block wall. The project involved working closely with and as an extension to District staff.
Services Provided:
Krieger & Stewart provided design engineering services, including records search; surge analyses; preliminary design; hydraulic system analysis; design survey; geotechnical investigation; utility service application, design, and coordination; and contract document preparation. Krieger & Stewart also provided bid phase services and construction engineering support services to Eastern Municipal Water District.
