Description:
The sewer portion of Thermal Water and Sewer Project consisted of the construction of approximately 18,300 LF of 27″ VCP, 24″ VCP, 21″ VCP, 18″ VCP, and 12″ VCP gravity sewer installed at a depth between 16 feet and 21 feet, boring and jacking approximately 280 LF of steel casing ranging in size from 48″ to 24″ and placing VCP in casing. The water portion of Thermal Water Improvement Project consisted of the construction of approximately 36,000 LF of 24″ and 18″ DIP, boring and jacking approximately 200 LF of 42″ steel casing, as well as approximately 100 LF of 42″ steel casing installed by open cut method, and placing 24″ DIP in casing. Additionally, the project included a pressure reducing station.
Services Provided:
Krieger & Stewart provided design engineering services which consisted of preparation of CEQA documents, preparation of legal descriptions, and plats for right-of-way acquisition, geotechnical investigation, utility verification, acquisition of permits, preparation of Contract Documents, and preparation of construction cost estimates. Krieger & Stewart also provided construction engineering services which consisted of construction management, contract administration, construction inspection, and construction staking.
