Description:
Indian Avenue Well Equipment and Site Improvements Project consisted of a deep well vertical turbine pump facility with a production rate of 1,000 gpm. Project facilities included: 40,000 gallon deaeration bolted steel tank and appurtenances; deep well vertical turbine pumping unit; VFD-controlled 1,200 gpm booster pump; well discharge and blowoff pipelines; prefabricated metal building; 75 pound per day chlorine generation and dosing facilities (ClorTec); electrical switchgear and controls; site grading, piping, and fencing; and miscellaneous site improvements. The project included working closely with and as an extension to District staff.
Services Provided:
Krieger & Stewart provided all of the preliminary and final design engineering services, including the civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation aspects of contract document preparation for construction. Krieger & Stewart also provided construction engineering support services, which included review of equipment submittals and startup coordination.
